Following a record-breaking regular season, the UALR cross country team will look to making a big splash at the Sun Belt Conference Championships in Mobile, Ala., this weekend.

Emma Dahl broke a school record for the second consecutive race at the UALR Invitational on Saturday, so it made sense when the Sun Belt Conference named her its Runner of the Week on Wednesday for the second straight race.

Emma Dahl's new school record for the second consecutive race was an individual highlight, and the men's cross country team finished 1-2-3-4 to showcase a great team effort at the UALR Invitational at the Rebsamen Golf Course on Saturday morning.

With three weeks to rest up since their last race, the UALR cross country teams are back in action on Saturday at the UALR Invitational at the Rebsamen Golf Course.

Two amazing runs over the weekend have resulted in two big awards for Emma Dahl and George Gathuru, as the pair was named the Sun Belt Conference's Runners of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.

Emma Dahl had the best 6K run in UALR history on Saturday morning, winning the Rhodes Invitational with a time of 21:04.6 to help the Trojan women to a third-place showing at the race.
