Three freshmen finished inside the top five to help the Arkansas State women's cross country team to a first place finish at the Little Rock Invitational Saturday.

The Arkansas State cross country women took 14th and the men placed 15th on Saturday at the Chile Pepper Festival.

The Arkansas State cross country teams split up last weekend for the Bradley Intercollegiate and Rhodes College Invitational coming away with good performances by several individuals.

The Arkansas State men's cross country team finished ninth while the Red Wolves women finished 12th in the 14th annual Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic held at Mike Rose Soccer Complex Saturday night.
