Arkansas State University sprinter Jaylen Bacon ran the third leg for team USA at the 2017 IAAF World Championships Saturday in London helping the team to a silver medal in the 4x100m relay.

Four regular season meets will be on tap when the Arkansas State cross country teams begin their 2017 schedule Sept. 2 at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Run.

Roelf Pienaar of the Arkansas State track and field team has been granted a sixth year of eligibility as the NCAA approved a waiver submitted by the university.

Arkansas State track and field junior sprinter Jaylen Bacon earned his spot as a member of the 4x100m relay pool to represent the United States at the IAAF World Championships in August.

A total of four current and former Arkansas State track and field athletes will compete at the USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships and the USATF Junior Championships this week in Sacramento, Calif.

Arkansas State senior triple jumper Viktoriia Sadokhina and junior discus thrower Calea Carr concluded their seasons at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with top-20 performances Saturday.
